Summer 2021 Overview

Mercer County Community College Campus Kids Pods Program will be held in-person from June 28- August 12. Please frequently check Camp College’s website for additional updates and possible changes to camp. The pandemic continues to drive the college’s decisions, therefore should the Board of Health require Camps to operate remotely, Camp College is prepared to offer families alternative virtual programming. There will be no refunds.

Registrations per pod are limited. Please select a pod that is the appropriate age group and is most desirable for your camper. Due to the Covid-19 restrictions, once camp begins, we are not able to transfer your camper into a different camp. Pods changes will only be approved if requested at least 4 weeks prior to the start of camp. A $25 processing fee will be applied for each schedule change request.

WHEN IS IT?

Session I: June 28-July 15 (THREE weeks; four days per week) Monday-Thursday.

Classes are held 8:30am-4:00pm. Drop off as early as 8:00am.

Session II: July 19-Aug 12 (FOUR weeks; four days per week) Monday-Thursday.

Classes are held 8:30am-4:00pm. Drop off as early as 8:00am.

WHO IS ELIGIBLE?

All children ages 6-13 on September 30, 2021 are eligible. For one-week programs up to age 16.

CAMPUS KIDS — SESSION I OR II (AGE 6)

Friendly Froglets program will allow our little ones the opportunity to play constructively, learn the importance of socialization, sharing, allow them to adjust to new environments and become more independent. Campers will follow a daily schedule outdoors underneath a tent, enjoying the fresh air and participating in the same great fun as older campers. Campers must bring their own lunches.

CAMPUS KIDS — SESSION I OR II (AGES 7-13)

Camp College offers your child an enriching alternative to the traditional summer day camp. Campers combine study in a variety of stimulating subject areas that emphasize intellectual growth and skills development with the fun of recreational activities. Participants choose one pod per session within their age group. Classes will be held indoors and outdoors under tents. Campers must bring their own lunches.

WHAT IS THE COST?

Session I M-Th $975
Session II M-Th $1250
(The tuition fee includes all camp activities, materials, and PPE unless noted otherwise in individual course descriptions.)
Payment is due in full at time of registration. Deadline is two weeks prior to the camp start date. Register early to avoid the $25 late fee!

*If you register two or more children in a family, save 5% on the second child and any additional children.

Pod changes will only be approved if requested at least 4 weeks prior to the start of camp. A $25 processing fee will be applied for each schedule change request.

WHAT IS THE REFUND POLICY?

A $100 processing fee will be imposed for withdrawal in the Campus Kids program per a session. A one-time $10 non- refundable continuing studies summer registration fee will be applied to all students.
Refunds will be granted only when written notice of a camper's withdrawal is received no later than ten business days before the start of each camp session. NO REFUNDS THEREAFTER. Telephone withdrawals will not be accepted.  In the event of unforeseen circumstances, including closures related to weather, no refunds or in-person make-ups will be issued. In the event of the Board of Health requiring camp to operate remotely, Camp College will provide alternative virtual programming. There will be no refunds.

Registration is now open! Register early and avoid the disappointment of filled classes.

HOW DO I REGISTER?

Until further notice all camp applications must be submitted by mail.
Mail the appropriate Registration Form, current Immunization Record, and COVID-19 Parent Agreement with your full payment to the address indicated below.

DOES CAMP COLLEGE OFFER BEFORE & AFTER CAMP?

Due to the continued situation with the Pandemic, we are unable to provide Before and After Care. Camper(s) can be dropped off as early as 8:00 am and must be picked up at 4:00pm.

WHAT SHOULD MY CAMPER(s) BRING DAILY TO CAMP?
  • A mask that always covers the mouth and nose.
  • An insulated bagged lunch and snacks (Prefer plastic lunch boxes that can be wiped down with disinfecting wipes and/or disposable bags). Also, lunches should be packed with disposable utensils.
  • We recommend bringing your own sunscreen which the camper is responsible for applying his/her own throughout the day. We advise Parent’s/Guardian’s to apply sunscreen on campers prior to arriving each day.
  • Camper is responsible to bring their own reusable water bottle and labeled with camper name.
WILL FOOD SERVICE BE AVAILABLE?

The cafeteria at the college remains closed due to the pandemic. Therefore, we are requiring all campers to bring their own bagged lunch and disposable utensils each day to camp.

INCLEMENT WEATHER

Camp College will provide indoor shelter in the event of inclement weather.

Camp College Specialty Camp FAQs

Summer 2021 Overview

The College’s Specialty Camp workshops provide a combination of intellectually challenging and stimulating hands-on summer opportunities for motivated students who are interested in a wide variety of fields. Each of these unique programs has been designed to enable young people to meet and share the excitement of studies in academic fields not ordinarily encountered in elementary and middle school curriculum.

Specialty Camp Program will be held in-person from June 21- August 13. Please frequently check Camp College’s website for additional updates and possible changes to camp. The pandemic continues to drive the college’s decisions, therefore should the Board of Health require Camps to operate remotely, Camp College is prepared to offer families alternative virtual programming. There will be no refunds.

Visit each program tab to learn more about Camp College’s NEW Specialty Camp. Courses are scheduled Monday-Friday and specifically paired together to create a full day experience, 8:30am-4:00pm with some limited programs offered as a half day option, 8:30-11:30am or 1-4pm. Please refer to each program tab for half and full day offerings.

Full day campers will have a break from 11:30am-1pm for supervised lunch and organized outdoor activities. Campers must bring their own lunches; cafeteria service will be closed.
