Archery

Draw, Aim, Anchor, Fire! This class helps you refine your hand-eye coordination, form and technique. Learn advanced skills to be sure you hit the target every time.

Balloon Twisting

Going beyond the basics of our first session, this class will focus on techniques involving multiple balloons to create more complex versions of things we've already made and things you never even thought you could make with balloons.
Examples: two-balloon dog, multi-balloon animals, multiballoon swords, Spider-Man™, etc. With enough practice the possibilities are nearly endless!

ADVANCED JUGGLING

(AGES 10-13)


Prerequisite: Juggling for Beginners or equivalent skills.

Practice, practice, practice! If you've already taken a juggling class and are ready to move up a level, try Advanced Juggling! Learn 3 ball tricks, juggling 4 balls, rings, clubs, and passing tricks. Show off your skills in our Camp College Grand Finale!


AMAZING ADVENTURES WITH MAGIC TREE HOUSE

(AGES 7-9)

Camper must be able to read. Join Jack and Annie as they travel around the world and experience places and times of the past. Enjoy some of your favorite books and help us make them come alive through crafts, creative writing activities, and games. What could be better than a summer full of adventure?


AMERICAN GIRL® FAVORITES

(AGES 7-9)

Come and be part of your favorite American Girl characters. Enjoy birthday parties, plays, summer fun and more. Girls will be girls, so we'll watch their movies, play games, and create crafts that capture the spirit of an American Girl. (1st session)


ANIMAL ART

(AGES 7-9)
Create art inspired by animals with drawing, painting, sculptures, and even recycled materials. Learn how to make habitat jar drawings, totem poles, bird cage sculptures, jellyfish watercolor paintings, soda bottle piggy bank sculptures, crazy animal books and more.


new program ANIMATION APPRECIATION

(AGES 9-13)
Discover the history of a popular and continuously growing art form. The origins of people attempting to make moving pictures will surprise you dating back to Paleolithic cave paintings, onto Egyptian hieroglyphs, Magic Lanterns, Flip Books, Nickelodeons, and more. This class will also take a general overview of historic hand drawn methods and modern CGI animation. Part of each class will involve drawing scenes for a flip book. By the end of 4 weeks each child will take home a completely animated flip book of their own design.


ARTISTIC IMPRESSIONS

(AGES 10-13)

Create a unique imitation  of famous artists using our own style. Using watercolors campers will paint on canvas and rocks. Campers will recreate art from famous artists like Georgia O'Keeffe, Jackson Pollack and more. (1st session)


A STITCH IN TIME

(AGES 7-9)
Sewing is a skill that will  be used for a lifetime. Join us in learning how to use a basic pattern and learn basic sewing stitches. Once you conquer those, you will be able to use your skills in creative areas other than just garment sewing. Home décor, crafts and accessories can all be made with fabric, needle and thread and be "sew" much fun!

BANDANA BOUTIQUE

(AGES 9-13)

Do you like to sew? Would you like to learn? Create pillows, pictures, bags and more using bandanas. Learn how to sew by hand and then decorate your accessories. Keep your creations for yourself or share them with friends and family.


BASIC ART

(AGES 7-9)
Have fun learning how to draw by changing 2-D basic shapes into 3-D forms and learn basic color techniques using crayons, pastels and watercolor paint. (1st session)


BEACH SPORTS

(AGES 7-13)
We've combined some popular outdoor activities that everyone seems to enjoy. Join in some friendly competition and play traditional games. In beach volleyball: develop skills for bumping, setting, spiking, and passing. Pass, toss and juggle your way to summer fun with hacky sack. Learn various freestyle throws with a frisbee. You supply the sunscreen and shades and we'll supply the fun!


BEAT THE HEAT BOARD GAMES

(AGES 7-13)
Learn a variety of exciting board games that can be played individually or in small-to large-sized groups. Next time you feel a little bored with nothing to do, gather a few friends and let the games begin!


BEGINNER ARCHERY

is a fun way to exercise your mind as well as your body. In this class you will learn basic techniques to develop good form and coordination.


BEGINNER BALLOON TWISTING

Have you ever wanted to learn how to make a dog, a sword, a rabbit, or even your own hat out of balloons? Now is your chance to learn from an experienced entertainer and balloon twister-extraordinaire! Learn to quickly blow, tie off and twist balloons with almost limitless possibilities.


BODY SENSE

(AGES 7-13)
Your nose knows! If you
love perfumes and scents, this is the class for you. Create your own scents by using herbs like lavender, spearmint, peppermint and rose petals. Using essential oils like cedarwood, vanilla, sandlewood and citrus, to design and create your very own perfumes, organic soap, foot scrub, facial cream and more.


BROADWAY LOVE

(AGES 7-9)
If you love theater, this class is for you! Explore some of the most loved shows both present and past. Sing along with your favorite songs and act out your favorite scenes, but even better yet- create your own show for our Camp College Grand Finale.

(AGES 9-13)
This high end class takes the idea of starting or running your own business and using the computer as a key tool. You'll be asked to design logos, letterheads, posters, spreadsheets, a press release, a business slide show and a company website. It's a fun, useful class; one that gives you a chance to be clever and creative. Want to get creative and plan ahead? This class is so for you! (1st session)


BUILD IT, MOVE IT

(AGES 7-9)
Calling all our youngest engineers!! Join us for some building challenges and creating things that move. We will explore towers and bridges and even have the opportunity to create your own marble coaster. (STEM/STEAM based focus)

Welcome to Campus Kids "kid-friendly" boot camp! We'll be getting into tip-top shape by improving our flexibility, coordination and strength using push-ups, jump training, stretching and weight training to reach our goals! Everyone should come ready to get focused on getting fit! So lace up your sneakers and join us for some fun and exciting fitness workouts!


CAMP CHOIR

(AGES 7-9)
Camp Choir provides an exciting opportunity to
learn the basic vocal/choral techniques and to perform. Sing in the choir for your family and friends at our Grand Finale. This course  is for all campers who enjoy singing!!

CAMP 'ZINE

(AGES 10-13)
Hot off the presses, it's Camp 'Zine! Whether you like entertainment, sports  or news publications there's a place for you at the camp paper. Pick your favorite genre or try out a few; then get out there and investigate! We'll write, type, edit, and format our own creative and investigative stories plus edit a few submissions from other Campus Kids classes. Finally, see your work in print in our camp wide distribution of the 'Zine.


CARD GAME CRAZE

(AGES 7-13)
Do you like playing card games? Then this is the class for you. We will play games like Go Fish, Old Maid, Concentration, Solitaire, War, Spit and more. For those who prefer a little more of a challenge learn how to play more complex games like Rummy, Egyptian Ratscrew, President and more! We will even learn different ways of shuffling and dealing cards! Come on down and be a Card Game Master! (2nd session)


CHALLENGE ACCEPTED

Are you ready to put your skills to the test? Together with your team, you will solve puzzles, complete obstacle courses and conquer competitions to reach your goal. If you feel you are up for the challenge, this is the class for you!

Come one, come all! We've got spirit and we're here to cheer it! Learn the basics of cheerleading and cheer-dance in this fabulous class! Get ready to stretch your muscles and voices to the

CHOCOLATE FACTORY

(AGES 7-13)

Here's your opportunity to bring to life your very own chocolate creations! We will make Rice Krispy Treats, popcorn, candy, chocolate-covered pretzels, graham crackers, and fruit using  our very own fountain! And S'mores too! Eat some and take some home to share.


CLAY AND SCULPTURE

(AGES 10-13)
Campers will explore and experiment with a variety of different art materials and techniques to create crafts. We will make our own playdough and slime. Let's get our hands dirty and have fun!


CLAY-TASTIC

(AGES 7-9)
Create colorful clay creations using every kind of clay we can find. Learn and use three different basic clay types: oil based, dough and polymer modeling clay. If you can imagine it, we'll create it in this fun and "clay-ful" class.

Design personalized stationary, thank you notes, and greeting cards as well as a portfolio
to hold your treasures. Using stamps, paper punches, embossing designs, and cut outs, learn how to design stationary and cards that are more extraordinary than you imagined. (2nd session)


COLONIAL CAPERS

(AGES 7-9)
Discover how it was to live in Colonial America through story-telling and hands-on activities. Campers will plant seeds and flowers to plant in their own backyard. Campers will stitch/glue felt handmade animals, shawl hats, loom weaving, pin cushions, sachets, turkey piñata, burlap ornaments, and many other creative crafts.

COMIC BOOK CREATIONS

(AGES 7-13)
Create your very own comic book with detailed illustrations. Learn how to pencil, ink and color your own comic book panel, draw original comic book characters, and learn the basics of drawing people and animals.

Do you enjoy playing pinball, checkers and minesweeper on the computer? Then this is the class for you! Learn in a safe environment how to play a wide variety of cool, exciting and simple games. We will have fun increasing your scores and improving your math skills.


COUNT YOUR STITCHES

(AGES 7-9)

Use a needle, yarn, and plastic canvas to create a beautiful treasure box, magnets, game boards and more. Once you learn the basics, take portable craft projects wherever you go. Count your stitches instead of minutes! (2nd session)

Enjoy working with your hands? Well you're going to love this hands-on art class where there are plenty of crafty items designed especially for boys and girls! Depending on age and camper interest, we'll explore many different crafty corners.

World of Dance, So You Think You Can Dance, America's Best Dance Crew. If you want a class that will teach you how to move to the latest songs, Campus Kids has the class for you! Learn a number of techniques and styles and combine them for an awesome routine performed at our Grand Finale.


DINO ADVENTURES!

(AGES 7-9)
They ate plants, they ate animals and they all disappeared because of a meteor! Come explore dinosaurs through fossil digs, fossil creations and other"dino-rific" activities.

DISC GOLF/FRISBEE FUN

(AGES 9-13)

Campers will design and play their own Disc Golf course on campus. In addition, campers will participate in other fun Frisbee games like Ultimate Frisbee, Kan Jam, Target and Distance Games.

Be part of the magical world of Disney. All new crafts for 2019-pool trays, banks, switch plates and many more.


FLAG FOOTBALL

(AGES 7-13)
Block, pass, catch, kick and score your way to some summer fun. Take your shot at each position to gear up for the final week of Camp College Super Bowl festivities. Whether you've played before or you are just beginning, our scrimmage games will become a favorite.


FLYING OBJECTS:

Rockets and Gliders
(AGES 10-13)
Let's blast off!! Learn the basic principles of rocketry and modeling of airplanes. Have fun building, launching working rockets and glider airplanes. Keep your eyes on he sky! Campers will explore the basic concepts behind flight while building, and decorate at least 2 rockets. Depending on the weather, we will launch each rocket at least once. We will also work on at least 1 or 2 gliders and learn how to make paper airplanes.


FUN WITH MATH

(AGES 7-9)
Join us as we play games like Math Bingo, Multiplication Connect 4, Around the World, and Chasing Numbers. mprove your basic math skills like counting money, telling time, addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and fractions.


GAME DESIGNERS

(AGES 10-13)
Put your brain to work designing puzzles, board games, and outdoor games. Base your designs on your favorite books, movies and shows or make something entirely original. Learn elements of puzzle design and how the brain works to create challenges for your friends. (1st session)


GEOCACHING ADVENTURES

(AGES 7-9)
Use the latest technology in GPS Mapping to go on an adventure! Use clues to find hidden objects and prizes around campus. Learn about how people traveled around the world using maps and a compass before the Global Positioning System (GPS) was invented!


GIRLS' CLUB

(AGES 10-13)
Calling all girls! This club is just for you! Participate in many girlie activities including friendship quizzes, nail art, sleepless sleepovers, crafts, jewelry making, and much more. Enjoy giggles and plenty of laughter. Isn't it fabulous being a girl?

Kids and teachers love Hamilton: An American Musical! Students will get a chance to work together to create their own historical musicals. Looking at different eras and events in world history students will create their own modern musical renditions of social studies topics.

(AGES 7-13)
Enjoy hip hop dancing and listening to hip hop music? This class has both! Practice the current styles seen in music videos from Ne-Yo, Rihanna, Usher and more. Once you learn the moves you'll be ready to perform at the Camp College Grand Finale.


INSTRUCTIONAL BEGINNER & ADVANCED SWIM

(AGES 8-13)
This course is for campers who want to learn to swim  as well as campers who have some basic swimming skills. Each camper will be screened and grouped according to the American Red Cross 6 levels. Non-swimmers will learn to float, glide, move their arms and legs correctly, and use basic strokes. Advanced swimmers will be introduced to basic mechanics of freestyle stroke, elementary backstroke, breast stroke, side stroke, and other appropriate techniques.


INTRODUCTION TO ART & SCULPTURE 3D

(AGES 10-13)
Learn about the many ways artists create sculptures utilizing 3-Dimensional Space. Campers will discuss and work with clay, wood, paper, and some other materials to explore the question of what makes something art.

Do you love to accessorize? Enjoy learning how to create jewelry using a wide variety of techniques. Students will learn how to create bracelets, earrings, necklaces and rings by creating patterns with beads, gems, string, leather, and rainbow loom loops. Isn't it fun being fancy?


JUGGLING FOR BEGINNERS

Enjoy a hobby that is exciting, relaxing, and fun. Participate in fun games, enhance coordination, dexterity and confidence-learn to juggle! Impress your friends and family, and become part of the entertainment at our Grand Finale Celebration.

(AGES 7-9)
Do you want to get into great shape while having lots of fun? Improve your jump roping skills individually or as a group. Learn new games like Jump the Snake, Side Swing, Skier, Heel Toe and more. Campers will stay healthy and fit while learning to use jump rope recreation as a way of life. (1st session)


KITCHEN CHEMISTRY

(AGES 10-13)
Have you ever wondered which room in your house doubles as a science lab? YOUR KITCHEN, OF COURSE! You will perform experiments to learn what makes your food so good and bad. Come find out what food science is all about! (1st session)


KOOKY SCIENCE

(AGES 7-9)
Do you want to be a "mad scientist"? Grab your lab coat and goggles so that we can explore light, sound and other kooky concepts in this kid-friendly science lab.


LEGO® MANIA

Think outside the box
and express your sense of creativity with Legos. Instead of duplicating an image from a box top, create your own masterpiece. Imagine what you can build with hundreds of tiny pieces of creative construction!


LET'S GO CAMPING

(AGES 7-9)
Love the outdoors? Love to go on adventures? Let's take a nature walk together! Learn how to identify different trees, plants, and birds and make your very own nature journal, birdhouse, and camp memory box. You can even make an organic bug spray to keep those little critters away and a DIY pair of binoculars!

LOST IN SPACE

(AGES 7-9)
Mankind has always wondered about the bright lights in the sky. We will blast off to visit and explore the other planets in our solar system. Let's go where no man has gone before. Directed discussions based on what we know and what we learn from short videos (produced by NOVA, National Geographic and NASA). Printouts, notes and worksheets will be provided. (1st session)

MARTIAL ARTS

(AGES 7-9)
Do you want to improve
your health, stamina and coordination? Then join in and learn Martial Arts. You will learn basic blocks, punches and kicks. Campers will also have fun in various exercise drill activities to sharpen their skills and coordination.

MATH BOOSTER CLUB

(AGES 9-13)

Get fit and ready to flex those thinking muscles with a  little extra help or more of an academic challenge over the summer. Campers will be grouped by age and/or grade level to provide attention to individual interest and skill development. Within the students' abilities, they will work on word problems, math puzzles and mind twisters. We'll reward all of our mathematicians with a grand finale ice cream party! (2nd session)


MINECRAFT™ MANIA

(AGES 10-13)
Get into this digital sandbox and start building, one block at a time! Create and build houses, cities, and even roller coasters! Travel around other worlds or create your own. Dig, build, and create! Campers must have a Minecraft account which can be set up at home before the start of camp.

MIXED MEDIA ART

(AGES 10-13)
Have you ever wanted to make art using paint and markers at the same time? Or maybe collages of different kinds of paper with watercolor paint on top? Students in this class will discover outside-the-box techniques for making wonderful works of art using 2-and-3 dimensional craft supplies to create decorative and unique masterpieces. Time to get those creative juices flowing because anything is possible with mixed media art!

(AGES 7-9)
Let's make our own brew of fruity caffeine-free herbal teas served hot or cold. Try some green tea and honey or lavender lemonade for starters. Campers will decorate their very own tea cup, make finger sandwiches, vanilla banana pudding, dirt cups and several other peanut-free delights.

Love a Broadway show?
A combination of dancing, acting and singing, this
class includes learning choreography from your favorite Broadway shows...from Aida to Grease, Hamilton to Wicked...and then performing one at our Grand Finale.


MY PASSPORT TO THE WORLD

(AGES 7-9)
All aboard a magic carpet! Learn about and create all new crafts this summer as we travel the world. Watch our passports fill up with all the memories as we visit Africa, Greece, Italy, France, Russia, China, Australia, Netherlands, Germany, England, Mexico, Caribbean and USA.


ORIGAMI

(AGES 10-13)
Explore the art of Japanese paper folding. Transform paper into a variety of three-dimensional figures and abstract shapes by carefully folding it into a sequence of crisp, clean points.


POKEMON™ ADVENTURES

(AGES 7-9)
Whether you only know about Pikachu, or if you know that Psyduck evolves to Golduck, then this is the class for you. Let's play the games and design our own unique Pokemon characters. We will create our own Pokemon adventures through writing stories, drawings, and reading comic books. (2nd session)


POWER UP!

(AGES 7-9)
Become familiar with computers, what they can do, and how you can use them for your schoolwork and hobbies. Try out different kinds of software, games, and computer art. Write and illustrate stories for the Camp'Zine and more. Some basic computer skills required. (1st session)


POWERFUL PRESENTATIONS

(AGES 9-13)
Present your class projects this year with confidence. There will be no need to fear when it's time to present. Public speaking techniques and PowerPoint™ pointers will make you a "Powerful Presenter"! Let's learn the ins and outs of creating an effective visual presentation and practice public speaking to ensure you're a hit. (2nd session)


PROJECT VEX

(AGES 7-13)
Robots are taking over the planet! Use your imagination to build robots using the newest Lego-Vex™ technology! Plan, build and program a mini-robot to complete a set task each week!

READING BOOSTER

(AGES 7-9)
Campers will have the opportunity to listen to and read stories and poems from different genres. They will have a blast working in groups to complete small projects related to the story. Campers are also welcome to bring in and share their favorite books from home. (1st session)


RECESS FUN

(AGES 7-9)
Whose favorite subject at school isn't recess? School may be out, but this class is in! It's time for recess with games like Spud, Slam, Red Rover, No Way Out and Dog Chases It's Tail. Learn some new games and play some that are tried and true!


RECREATIONAL SWIM WATER FUN

(AGES 8-13)
Designed for Advanced Swimmers. Enjoy a variety of water activities which will include water polo, volleyball, wacky relays, basketball and other popular pool games. Must be able to swim laps unassisted in the deep end without flotation device.


ROCK ART

(AGES 7-13)
Campers will be working with rocks, twigs, stones, pebbles and other nature items to create all sorts of wonderful crafts. Unleash your creativity and let your imagination run wild! So, get out of the Stone Age and rock with us!


SCRAPBOOKING CRAZE

(AGES 10-13)

Pictures are worth a thousand words, so why not capture your memories by creating a scrapbook? Learn the techniques of using patterned paper, crazy scissors, and captions to create a professional-looking picture memory book. Bring your favorite pictures to make a memory book to last a lifetime! (1st session)

SET DESIGN

(AGES 9-13)
Come behind the scenes and enjoy playing your role as stage crew. Have you ever wanted to learn what it's like behind the scenes on a set for a movie or theater production? Learn how they make special effects happen on the screen. Based on the performance, the class will also design and construct scenery, props and costumes for our Grand Finale Shows.


SKILL TOYS AND CIRCUS FUN

(AGES 8-13)
Students will learn the basics of the Spinning plate, Devil Sticks, Chinese Yo-Yo and Kendama. Classes will consist of a brief instruction, fun concentration and coordination games.


SLIME TIME

(AGES 10-13)
Slime is the craze. How many different ways do you know how to create slime, silly putty and playdough? Make a new version almost every day. Bring your need for ooze and goo to this slimy lab space.

SO WHAT'S YOUR POINT? THE ART OF DEBATE

(AGES 10-13)
Campers will research and debate different topics weekly. We will learn the format for debating, and practice several types of debates including academic debates, policy debates, humorous interpretation, and spontaneous argument. Speaking skills will be emphasized and encouraged.


SOCCER

(AGES 7-13)
Come learn the basic skills of soccer for all ages. Learn the fundamentals like positions and types of passing, kicking and shooting. Play soccer and other soccer-related games. Participate in a fun, teamwork, and sportsmanship-related game.


SPORTS AND GAMES

(AGES 7-13)
In addition to the specialized sports classes (Soccer, Flag Football, etc.) Sports and Games will give campers an opportunity to participate in a wide variety of Sports and Games such as: Whiffle Ball, Capture the Flag, Dodgeball, Ultimate Frisbee and other camp favorites.

Work on your summer assignments and reinforce your critical thinking skills to prepare you for the fall. Within the student's abilities, campers will work on problems using addition, subtraction, multiplication, division with whole numbers, decimals and fractions. If your child does not receive a math packet, an age-appropriate packet will be provided. We will reward our mathematicians with a Grand Finale ice cream party.


SUMMER READING: A Tasty Challenge

Why not tackle your school's assigned summer reading and bring your books to camp. Take some quiet time to read and write book reports if your school requires them. Read books from the camp library. We'll reward all of our summer readers with treats and a Grand Finale ice cream party. So, read, relax, and enjoy! Are you up for our tasty little brain freeze challenge?


TAPE IT!

(AGES 10-13)
It's going be a little sticky but this class will definitely enhance your creativity! Using duct tape of many colors and patterns campers will create pillows, picture frames, phone stands and many more crafts.


TORNADOES, VOLCANOS, TSUNAMIS- OH MY!

(AGES 10-13)
Let's explore the world of natural disasters! We
will examine tornadoes, hurricanes, volcanos, tsunamis, earthquakes, and other acts of nature. Can we predict when and where they will occur? Explore the science of these events and learn how we can prepare ourselves for natural disasters. (1st session)

(AGES 7-9)
Design your own traveling knights or princess's castle. Using foam, Model Magic®, Styrofoam and paper, campers will create dragons, furniture, knights and princesses for their palace making it fit for a king and queen! (1st session)


ULTIMATE FRISBEE

(AGES 9-13)
Ultimate Frisbee is a thrilling, non-contact team sport played with a Frisbee. Campers will have an opportunity to join in on some friendly competition, play alongside and against other campers, teachers and counselors in a favorite camp activity: Ultimate Frisbee.

(AGES 10-13)
Big dreamers wanted! Be a travel agent and work with a partner to plan a road trip on a budget. Work with books, guides, and the internet to plan the itinerary, route, meals, lodging, and sites for your trip. On this vacation, you get to choose the destination. Who knows, maybe you can plan the next family vacation! (2nd session)


WATERCOLOR PAINTING

(AGES 7-13)
Come and create some large watercolor painting out in the great outdoors! We will be working with large paper, making abstractions, portraits and landscapes of our own campus. Anything goes with our freestyle watercolor fun, so let's get our creative juices flowing in the summer sun!


WOODWORKING

(AGES 7-13)
Do you want to make things with your hands and enjoy doing it? In this class you will learn how to use basic woodworking tools. Projects will consist of building a birdhouse, tool box, and much more! Campers will use their measurement skills and imaginations!


WRITING AND ILLUSTRATING

(AGES 7-9)
Design your own book art. Campers will write and illustrate their own picture books. Just like professional authors they will create outlines, rough drafts, and revised manuscripts with original artwork to accompany it. Our creations will be published and bound to share with family and friends.


YOGA FUN!

(AGES 10-13)
Students will explore introductory yoga techniques to gain an extra edge on  the field or court and in the classroom. Students will learn beginner yoga postures to gain bodily awareness and improve balance and endurance. In addition, through breathing exercises and fun drills and games, students will be introduced to concentration strategies that can aid their focus and mindfulness in school and at home.


YOUNG AUTHORS

(AGES 10-13)
Become an author! Write your own novel, short story, play, or even a collection of poetry. Work each day on writing and typing your book while adding illustrations along the way. Make a memory that family and friends will enjoy reading. (2nd session)
